Sparks of magic and a sublime prayer.
“When a woman tells the truth she is creating the possibility for more truth around her.” —Adrienne Rich
There is a wisdom that we can claim in the topography of our Soul.
So many songs waiting in the garden of our being waiting to be given permission to grow.
How to love like lavender, to laugh like a lily, to blossom like a rose.
Im learning to be like a flower.
Excerpt From Elizabeth Gilbert, In Praise of the Inner Crone: So the Inner Child is a good thing. These days, though, I spend less time thinking about my Inner Child lately, and more time focused on my INNER CRONE — the old lady who lives inside me, whom I hope to someday be. Because she’s […]

As I was diving deeper in the depths of my practice, I had the blessing to spend a long weekend in the outskirts of Buenos Aires Argentina, at the Iyengar Studio of Advanced Iyengar Teacher Teresa Pinilla. A great group of iyengar yogis, I had so many revelations during this weekend (to share as part of another note soon). Inside the yogashala, hanging in a wall, in a little white frame, there it was this prayer. It stayed with me since then, already 15 years ago. ‘Song of the Soul’.
Spirit knocks at your door, in every instant. Inviting you to move on.
route to sanctuary.
Lal Ded, Mystic Poet. Her mystic musings continue to have a deep impact on the psyche of Kashmiris and appeals to those who want to deepen the bridge between the extraordinary in the ordinary. Her luminous voice and spirit comes out of her writings. Lal Ded’s vision of reality as the manifestation of one indivisible consciousness pervading everything, her insistence on the inwardness of the spiritual experience and rejection of all kinds of sham and pretence, her revolt against dogma, her broad humanistic concerns and the strong egalitarian tone of her verses-all these can be considered as factors that explain her pervasive hold on the Kashmiri essence and also her relevance in the present day world. “Let Prana and the Mind Unite”, she would say. #amentothat #lalded
The healing properties of essential oils astonishes me. Frankincense is the dried sap of trees in the Boswellia genus, particularly Boswellia sacra. These trees grow in Oman, Yemen. It soothes and calms the mind, slowing down and deepening breathing and is excellent for use when meditating. It also helps to calm anxiety and uplifts in moments of distress. Amongst many other properties, its worth having it at home in your magic box of essentials.
After any stressful experience, there is a lot of energy drained, fear residue and certainly some kind of trauma stored in your body. This is a great recipe or list of tips that you might find useful if you need to heal from total distress..

An opportunity to mix spells and magic with Naomi Absalom, to bring about our true vows, our artistry and to align our spirit in the most radical and authentic way to who we really are.
She actively rejected the rigidity of traditional dance types, creating her own style that emphasized bodily freedom. Barefoot, she unleashed Ballet from its corsets and pointe shoes, creating a modern dance movement that influenced choreographers such as Pina Bausch years later. Duncan’s self confidence and absolute faith in herself — and her creative abilities — is something I strive to emulate.
“For you, for the way you dance.”
What is your burning and your restoration? What is your soft and your strong? What shows up as opposites within you? How do you make space and peace with these seeming contradictions?

To see takes time, To notice and be with a flower in its unfurling takes time. To understand deeply takes time, to really release what no longer serves us takes time. It all feels so heartbreakingly alive.

“What is thoroughly understood, will not repeat itself”. Words from Krisnamurti in his Book of Life.
This quote reminds me of the importance of paying full attention, so that perfection of action emerges from that deeper place of higher discernment. Things, patterns, thoughts, old habits are finally not repeating themselves anymore, aligned in love at last.
How does beauty unfold for you?
Being amongst nature is one of the most healing therapies one can find. The state of oneness awakens, the inner light aligns with the fresh air, with the tall trees, with the wet soil and the sound of the woods. Nature as our reminder to connect to that one place that has been waiting for us all along, home. It feels like an inner prayer saying: “home, here i am”. This playground of life, and our practice is here to remind us where the way is, once and again; back where home is.
“Im here, Im home”, Soul whispers.
Herman Hesse, inspires me deeply. This one about trees, has the ability to contemplate this search we all go through about how or where to find our way towards home. Belonging as being one of the great human endeavors and of the aims in great human stories. To feel as if you belong is one of the great triumphs of human existence — and especially to sustain a life of belonging and to invite others into that… lets´go home, together. Back to your light.
The holy act of cooking, of nourishing your body and offering your meals to your loved ones. Our cooking and being in the kitchen as a forgotten alchemy that transforms some hidden shadows, our relationship to others, and a conscious intention of healing out into the outer-world.
Don’t let yourself become a Servant of your mind. There is so much chatter there. Let the garbage out.
An immaculate presence awaits, waiting to be embraced when we let that mind-stuff fade away.
Contemplating rays of light, to start your day, like a first meal. Nourish yourself with rays of light let them feed your inner life.

At the end of life will I be thrilled with how successful my career was,
or will I be grateful that I held my baby?
Today in a cold Monday afternoon, in between a very busy teaching schedule, after not having much rested and very poorly slept. All together, in an energetic pot of a huge full moon, the beautiful song of Wild Eyes from Mariee Sioux in the background while my coffee brings me back to life before I continue with the rest of the day… and to seal the moment, this quote by the gorgeous Hillary Rain. Perfect recipe to weep fire, to remember we can indeed weep fire with our wild loving eyes. I go back to the reminder of holding myself and others in the Highest heart vision. Going back to full presence, passionate remembrance of who I am. I keep reaching towards the fire of living. The wild love, that loves like the river.
The magic of the Geranium, essential oil. The beauty of befriending plants as a medicine in your life.
John O’donohue, respected poet and philosopher, lectured throughout Europe and America and wrote a number of popular books, including Anam Cara and To Bless the Space Between Us. This one poem brings us to acknowledge the magic of blessings. Reminds us to hold in reverence, to hallow our journey, our daily life.
A beautiful life manifesto from Hilary Rain. Perfectly said as we start 2016. It describes what i feel about this auspicious new year. I wish we may all be held in the hands of the holy, may we be able to press sweet nectar out of every juicy moment so that we can live from the goodness of life, may we embrace the longing as a spiritual practice. Enjoy this manifesto, take it with you, make it yours and a happy new year.
The art of seeing your story. Letting it happen, unfold, flourish.
Vanilla is my new Powerhouse. Not only for its beautiful scent, flavour and for the long process it has to go through in order to offer its powerful service to us. But because this plant has great nutrient dense qualities and it gives a touch of magic to everything you use it with.
This winter solstice, the perfect date to acknowledge your year. To embrace your path. London, you have been a great teacher this year. You must have felt me for sure. I had cried at you and I see your immense beauty. I am here, thank you for it all.
Closer to the darkest time of the year, winter invites to go in, to take self-care seriously. I mean it. This body scrub is total lush. Date yourself with a warm bath and scrub body and face to regenerate, refresh, tone the whole system.
Offering, giving, remembering is an act of healing. Medicine for our inner-life. The act of gratitude, of highest recognition of magic and beauty. The acknowledgement of the Highest Presence amongst us. This is what this beautiful poem by Malcolm Guite brings to me. May you rejoice and sense what these words offer to you. Thank you always for your presence. For being here.
Slowly sinking deeper into the unlimited presence of light. Autumn reminds me of nature preparing us to hold on to the inner light, for winter is coming. Our infinite reserve of energy becomes the anchor.
