Natalie Fischwick. Kundalini Teacher, Magical Urban Shaman, Healer and Coach. - April Edition

Natalie, has appeared in my London journey as a teacher and guide. Lately, she has been a compass and a lighthouse. I had seen so much power in her teachings I cannot but only bow to her wisdom and clarity. I have learned immensely from her, to connect to my true superpowers. I am so honoured to be able to share a tiny bit of who she is here....

1. Tell us 3 things about you?

I am flawesome - flawed and awesome. It’s my favourite word at the moment, and it’s about acknowledging that when I try to hide my perceived flaws then I will also hide my awesomeness or gifts. And that there is no such thing as a perfect human. Not part of the job description.

I am here to awaken to my power as a conscious creator, and that means I am 100% responsible for how I experience life - I am not a victim of circumstances, I am the creator of them. The challenge is to catch the unconscious stuff that is running my show (refer to flawesome :) And my calling is to support other women to realise their power to choose, to have more joy, freedom and expansion. This has and will have a big impact on the future of our planet. I see so many amazing women and they don’t always know how powerful they are.

I love singing and dancing.

2. How did Gong and sound-healing happen to you?

On my first weekend of Kundalini Yoga teacher training with Guru Dharam (an original student of Yogi Bhajan who bought Kundalini Yoga and Gong to the West) I lay down for relaxation after a very intense kriya (set of postures) and he started playing firstly a shamanic drum, and then the Gong. I was totally transported and hooked from then. I went off to the woods to make/give birth to a shamanic drum and started to saving for my Gong. Sound is such a powerful way to connect with something primal within us that underlies all creation (i.e. vibration) and energetically fantastic to clear what is stuck and bring us back to our original vibration of health and harmony.

3. What is an authentic life for you? Doing my best to follow my highest joy, excitement, or love in each moment versus what I or someone else thinks I should be doing. This is how I try to listen to what makes my soul light up. I think that’s the way we serve all of creation.

4. Share with us one of your biggest dreams? Silent and pollution free energy.

5. What feels like love to you? Coming home after running a workshop and my partner unpacking the car with me and serving me a lovingly prepared home cooked meal. Followed by a foot rub. I manifested a great guy!

6. Share with us why Kundalini Yoga?

It’s like plugging into the mains electricity supply. It is direct, it is powerful, it makes me feel happy, euphoric, blissful, powerful. I love teaching it and seeing the faces of those in the class light up. From the first class it has a big impact.

It also has beautiful mantras and music within the class along with the whole package of posture, breath, mudras, eye focus, meditations all passed along by Yogi Bhajan, a Master in Kundalini Yoga (and White Tantra, Tai Chi, Hatha) who was determined to bring this technology to the masses despite threats of death. Previously it was kept for only the few - those in the right caste and male for example. He knew big changes were coming as we shifted in to the Aquarian Age, leaving behind the old patriarchal power structures and systems. And we would need these tools to keep sane, and remember who we are in essence - infinity/god/ source energy taking physical form - and work together to create a more beautiful and balanced World. I love that he did lots of women’s training to help them see themselves as “eagles” rather than “chicks” (this was in the 70-90’s).

7. The best advice you had ever been given.

Stop putting things off until you or "it" is perfect.
