Meet her, she is Anna Bolena aka Alas de Orquidea. Colombian goddess living between Mexico and Miami. Traveler of the world and a gorgeous creative Spirit.
Tell us 3 things about you? I love rituals. I am married to a wonderful man and I have 3 kids: Mayath –our dog– and 2 published books.
How does AlasdeOrquidea come to be? Tell us about it and what you offer through it... AlasdeOrquidea is a therapeutic space which I created through my own therapeutic journey. Everything there is conceived to be useful for your meditation practice, for learning how to connect to your spiritual being and how to heal through the magic of your own written words. I am a very curious person, so I have applied in my self tons of techniques like breathwork, asanas, how to manage trauma through meditation and yoga, Mindfulness, energetic practices, workshops etc, which I share in my therapeutic space after integrating them as my own life tools.
Tell us about your meditation practice... I am a person of rituals. Every morning I wake up at 6 and begin my meditation with brushing my teeth, cleaning and moisturizing my face. I adopted this beauty practice to my morning ritual because I am a lazy person and rituals help me stick to routines. Then I jump to my altar where I have all my toys –as I call them– I have crystals, incense, candles, images of ascended masters, pictures of my loved ones, oracles, essential oils… For me all those tools are anchors to the present moment, but I learned to understand that the power is within me and not in all those tools. My meditation looks different every now and then. It depends in what I am working in the moment. Sometimes I just observe my breathing, other times I use a mala to count them, I love visualization a lot, I also chant mantras or meditate observing the fire in a candle. In this specific moment of my life, I am working with creative and sexual energy, so my meditation is a lot about connecting with my root chakra and waking up the creativity to use it for inspiration.
What is your biggest dream? I have a lot of dreams, I can´t think which one is bigger, I am working hard to manifesting them all: I am going to write a movie, I trust that my last book “Memorias de una Soltera Mexicana” will become a TV series. I will continue to travel to different places with my husband for gathering information and inspiration for our stories. I plan to continue evolving as a person, as a woman, as a wife, as a writer and a therapist. Yes… there is a biggest dream: to always work hardly towards manifesting all my dreams.
What feels like love to you? Sharing my life with my husband, cuddling with Mayath, Savasana, Frank Sinatra, black tea with milk, hugging my parents, being listened by a friend, my women circle, a smile from a stranger.
Share with us about Elumina Academy? Elumina is a dream that began the same day I took my first online course. It´s been a long way since we start talking about Elumina with my partners, but now is almost a reality thanks to the creative team that is working on Elumina´s magic. We are born to be a Mind, Body, Energy Academy. But we want it to be more than an Academy, a platform in which authors, therapists, lightworkers, gurus, physicians etc. come together to share their journey and their mastery. The best advice you had ever been given. Is the same advice that inspires me to be a co-creator of Elumina: Always be a student, call the student energy every time you are with a person or a situation. Is only until you learn to accept life as a continuous lesson, that you will be getting the best of the journey.
