Spontaneous generosity
It’s five o’clock, the city bursting with cars and people struggling to go home. I, too, struggle to keep an eye on my bag, my two kids, their bicycles… and to somehow drag them into a bus. I wait, and the bus finally comes. But as I try to pay for our ride, our Oyster Card does not work. The driver grows impatient, wants me to leave instantly. I, almost in tears, try to get him to understand…
And out of nowhere, a beautiful voice makes its way through the crowd and says she’ll take care of it.
Just like that, out of the blue! I am dazzled at the contrast of her light coloured dress and her beautiful dark skin.
Above all, I am just grateful for spontaneous generosity like hers, which saved me and my day…
