Nicola Muir - Jivamukti Teacher & Mentor- JULY Edition

unnamed2.jpg

There is a saying that when a bhakta meets another bhakta, there is a spark of possibilities. This is why, myself being so in love for devotion just felt so much at home with her. Two bhaktas meeting with a Jivamukti-heart. Here she is sharing a bit of her life...

And if you are interested, we will be teaching together a series of 3 powerful master classes that will thread very beautiful topics (10July, 2August, 3September). See more details under the Events chapter in this webpage, or email me at: muriel.ana@gmail.com

1. Tell us 3 things about you?

* I’m an avid reader, and love Shakespeare! * I love cooking and being a hostess to friends. * I’m studying psychotherapy, and hope to integrate it more into my yoga classes.

2. What feels like love to you?

When I feel like God is winking at me… so when I think of something, or someone, and then that thing, or person, appears.

3. What is your favourite song?

I’ve been playing Madonna ‘Like a Prayer’ (and dancing around to it at home) a lot recently!

4. What are you afraid of?

That the world will turn more right wing; moving into fear and away from cooperation and conversation.

5. Share with us one of your favourite recipes…

6. Share with us why Jivamukti?

Aged 12 I started learning Hatha, aged 14 Iyengar, and aged 22 Ashtanga. Then aged 24 I came across Jivamukti in London and fell in love with it because it combined all the previous methods I’d learned - and practising to music felt like I was dancing! Plus I love the five tenets: non violence, music, meditation, learning scriptures, and devotional practises.

7. The best advice you had been given.

"Other people have to hold what we can’t hold in ourselves." Like actors, other people enact our personal dramas for us. Until we become conscious of our scripts - we’re going to keep meeting the same actors!
