Vanilla is a truly awesome spice, with a sultry rich aroma, full of wonderful flavours.Traditionally grows in Madagascar, pollinated by hand then fresh green beans grow slowly, in their own time. When ready and not a moment before, the freshly harvested green beans are blanched in boiling water. The characteristic flavours of vanilla develop after 14 days of a "sweating" process, and then followed by slow drying and then a further period of 3 months for the flavour and nutrient qualities to fully mature.

Definite a powerhouse of health: antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, protector of the liver. It’s especially brilliant at enhancing brain and mood health. So, if you want a delicious way aside from chocolate to provide a natural mood boost, keep some vanilla around to get in on the benefits. Full of magnesium (great for balancing brain, mood and nervous system), potassium (regulates body´s electrolytes, blood pressure and mood), calcium (ideal for bone health) and manganese (healthy assimilation of food and mood enhancer).

You can try some seeds in your coffee for a real vanilla latte!.. this is such a treat. Or to your smoothies and cereals.

The bean can be used several times, in between uses, wipe clean and dry, then store the pods in a sealed pot.
