Winter Scrub

DIYwinterBodyScrub.jpg

This is something you can keep in your bathroom for your body scrub and you could even use a little bit on your face when you need to exfoliate. The sugar sloughs off old skin and the oil cleanses gently without drying. In a jar, pour 1/4 to 1/2 cup of oil. You can use any high-quality oil that you would eat: olive, coconut, etc. Next, choose your scrub. I like to use fine grain sugar and add a pinch of sea salt. Make sure the grains are fine so that it's gentle on your skin! I also sometimes use fine coffee grounds (the smell is divine). Pour the salt/sugar/coffee in slowly, and add some drops of vainilla extract plus a tablespoon of raw honey for moisture. Then mix it all. To a point where the oil is completely saturated with the material. That's it! You can add essential oils if you wish, i love lavender or rose. Keep the container in your shower to scrub your entire body. I recommend keeping a batch for 2 weeks and then renewing it if you want more or change flavours.
