Kristi Mae Rodelli- Yogini, Teacher of teachers - MAY Edition
Kristi, my "turbo-friend" (as I like to call her).According to the Dictionary, Turbo means powered by an internal-combustion engine equipped with a turbocharger. This is one of the many reasons why she inspires me. She is a brave hearted woman equipped with an internal-combustion fire that rocks your spirit with her brilliant hidden tenderness, and her huge fiery heart. She is hotness, and strength and love and sweet belly laughs, and gorgeous yogini-soul . She also of course, uses her famous forrest style turbo-dog in her classes to massively empower your heart. Once you meet her, she touches you like a sorceress with her blue eyes. Teacher of teachers, beautiful friend. Thank you for sharing a bit of you, here in my virtual garden.
1. Tell us 3 things about you..
1) I love riding bicycles. Bicycles with a big basket on the front. Particularly in the countryside. It makes my spirit soar. 2) My favourite place in the world is a small beach town called Raglan, about 30 mins drive from the place I grew up, in New Zealand. I spent time there as a kid with family, I used to drive there for time out as a uni student, and now every time I go home I visit. It feeds me no end. 3) I played the violin for many years. I used to do solo performances, performed in trios and quartets and played in the regional youth orchestra. I also led the orchestra at high school.
2. What feels like love to you.
To me love feels like a very physical expansion of the body. Powerful and vulnerable at the same time.
3. Favourite song at the moment.
I don't have a favourite song right now. I'm a little old school and I'm not up with the latest music. Lately I've been pulling out my old electronica, and disco dancing from the inside out, as I walk along with my iPod blasting in my ears.
4. What are you afraid of.
Drop-backs, confrontation, cockroaches, and anything that smells or tastes remotely like marzipan.
5. A recipe you would like to share with us.
My liquid breakfast (a.k.a morning green smoothie). 1 banana Handful of spinach Walnuts or almonds Coconut water Greens powder (spirilina, wheatgrass, barley grass etc) Acai berry powder Tumeric powder Flaxseed/pumpkin seed/sunflower seed mix Dollop of Manuka honey (Sometimes cocoa nibs, dates and/or coconut kefir) Blended together in a nutribullet ?
6. A Book that has inspired you.
Ah, there are many. Right now I'm reading a book called 'Quiet: The Power Of Introverts In A World That Can Not Stop Talking' - Susan Cain. Its interesting and I can relate.
7. What is the best advice you have been given?
To do one thing every day that feeds my spirit, even if it is for 5 minutes. This advice has completely changed the way I live my life.
